The latest outdoor offering from San Francisco startup Sutro (try saying that 5 times quickly) allows pool owners to remotely monitor the chemical levels of their hot tub or pool to ensure that things are swim-safe before taking a dip.
The Sutro Smart Pool Monitor is designed to take a whole host of readings for stress-free swimming sessions, displaying them all on an app – no more manual measurements before diving in.
Running on replaceable batteries with an estimated life of around 6 months, the Sutro is also totally wireless meaning it can be left to float around and do it’s thing, so long as it remains within range of your wireless router.
From the fundamental information regarding things like temperature, Chlorine levels and PH balance to more advanced measurements such as water hardness, this smart pool monitor will keep you up to date with the essential happenings of your pool.
As well as alerting you when things are out of balance, the Sutro will advise on how best to remedy the situation in the pool and the remedial action needed to get things working swimmingly once again.
Also on this note, one particularly cool feature of this smart pool monitor comes in the way the app integrates with Amazon Prime and Echo and also allows you to order any required chemicals directly from within the app when a new dose is required.
The Sutro Smart Pool Monitor is available for pre-order from the company site now.
