If you’re a cat owner you’re probably all too familiar with those little excursions they tend to make and the anxiety this can cause when they do their feline thing and decide to go AWOL for a few extra hours.
It’s for these situations that the TabCat cat tracker was designed.
Unlike other pet trackers out there on the market, the TabCat tracking collar doesn’t utilize GPS to keep track of your four-legged friend, instead, it uses radio frequency Identification (RFID) to let you find out where your cat’s decided to hide.
Combining a handset and lightweight radio device (for attaching to your cat’s collar), the TabCat uses a series of lights and audible beeps to let you know when you’re getting nearer or further from the missing feline.
When you’re investigating the likely hiding spots, the handset displays lights from red (to let you know you’re in range) through to green (meaning you and cat are as good as reunited) – kind of like a warmer/colder situation for finding hidden cats.
With a range of up to 400 feet and a super lightweight collar tracker attachment, the TabCat is both discrete and lightweight for your cat to wear, while providing a good level of coverage for his or her usual backyard haunts.
For those with multiple cat households, TabCat handsets also work with up to four trackers meaning those days of wrangling missing cats will soon be a thing of the past.
